Through the Employees Social Solidarity Fund, The National Beverage Company provides support to Al Quds Fund & Endowment




Ramallah – Al Hayat Economic – The National Beverage Company Coca-Cola/Cappy (NBC) made a donation through the Employees Social Solidarity Fund to support the Fund’s Campaign that aims at satisfying the emergency needs in the City of Al Quds, including house reconstruction, student sponsorships, school qualification, and provision of interest-free loans in order to enable some institutions in Al Quds. The initiative is as a part of the “For You, Quds” Campaign launched by Al Quds Fund & Endowment with the aim of collecting about four million dollars to enhance the steadfastness of Jerusalemites and satisfying their living needs.

 

Mr. Imad al-Hindi, General Manager of the National Beverage Company Coca-Cola /Cappy, said, “The Company endeavors through this support to enhance the education quality; support, enable, and develop the educational sector in Al Quds; and improve the environment in the schools of Jerusalem.”

 

 “We constantly provide support to education and educational institutions because we believe that the education is the secret of success in achieving progress, prosperity, and growth throughout all living, economic, social, scientific, and cultural fields and aspects. Education is also the primary step taken by nations to steadily go forward.” He added.

 

He also confirmed that “Donating educational sponsorships to Jerusalemite students would enable them to firmly and resolutely complete their studies; enhance their ability to get appropriate job opportunities; and contribute to building a civilized society based on social solidarity while assuming social responsibility towards individuals and Palestinian community that looks forward to building its creative and scientific state.”

 

Mr. al-Hindi stressed the significance and urgent need to support Al Quds Fund and Endowment which plays a constructive role in the economic enablement of Jerusalemites, support of productive projects of low-income families and entrepreneurs, and enablement of shops in Jerusalem generally and Old Town particularly. The Fund develops and qualifies entrepreneurships and existing enterprises and trains their owners or establishes individual or joint small projects. This eventually supports Jerusalem as a whole, enables its population, supports their presence, and improves their standards of living.  He clarified that the Palestinian People must constantly communicate and cooperate everywhere; the institutions of Jerusalem must be supported; and the Jerusalemites’ steadfastness must be enabled through an effective strategy aiming at activating relevant sectors such as developing and educational sectors and at maintaining the harmony and coherence for the interest of Jerusalem. Al-Hindi indicated that the National Beverage Company realized the importance of keeping the architectural and cultural heritage of Jerusalem houses which have special aesthetic feature. He also explained that Al Quds Fund and Endowment, through its variable programs, refurbished houses and improved the accommodation and living conditions.
