National Beverage Company provides equipment and tools for two vocational workshops for Abdel-Qader Al Qadi Vocational School in Surif

Ramallah – Al Hayat Economic - The National Beverage Company Coca-Cola/Cappy has completed, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, the furnishing and equipping of two workshops for vocational education and training at the Abdel-Qader Al Qadi Mixed Vocational Secondary School in Surif town affiliated to the North Hebron Directorate of Education. One of the workshops is specialized in designing and producing garments and the other is specialized in cosmetics.

NBC provided the vocational workshops for the design and production of garments and cosmetics in the school with a set of the required furniture and equipment, including sewing machines, in addition to makeup equipment and tools.  The donated items were delivered to Abdel-Qader AlQadi Mixed Vocational Secondary School in Surif town.

The Ministry of Education confirmed that the cooperation came within the framework of community partnership between vocational education institutions that fall under the umbrella of the Ministry through the introduction of a number of vocational units to support the Ministry’s efforts to develop the vocational education sector and increase the opportunities for the Youth to enroll in this type of education, which has recently experienced increasing demand.

The Ministry believes that vocational and technical education and training is one of the most significant foundations of sustainable development, and an effective solution to reduce unemployment rates among graduates due to its role in creating job opportunities.

The General Manager  of the National Beverage Company, Mr. Imad al-Hindi, expressed his pride and happiness for handing over the workshops to the school after furnishing and equipping them and providing them with the necessary equipment and tools for training.  The donation is intended to support the educational process of students, refine their skills and develop their capabilities in their professional careers, so that they can easily access the labor market after completing the secondary stage.  He appreciated the Ministry of Education's continuous efforts to work towards promoting vocational and technical education, by developing and maintaining the infrastructure for this sector.

Mr. al-Hindi emphasized that such achievement was an addition to the series of achievements realized by the Company and the Ministry of Education.   It has contributed to the development of the vocational and technical education sector in Palestine, especially in view of the importance of this sector and its special nature at all levels, including the economic level.

Mr. al-Hindi stressed the need to provide all essentials of support for the vocational and technical education sector, to create an effective and distinctive educational system in order to contribute to meeting the needs of the labor market, in addition to its potential to fulfill its obligations towards our Palestinian society.

It is noteworthy that the Abdel-Qader Al Qadi Mixed Vocational Secondary School was recently established and became operational at the beginning of the academic term of this year.  The School comprises six classrooms, four vocational workshops for boys and girls, and specialized laboratories for vocational education in the fields of sanitary appliances, central heating, renewable energy, and for the design and production of garments, in addition to the cosmetics discipline.
