National Beverage Company provides laptops in support to Al-Aqsa Islamic Schools and Kindergartens




 

 

The National Beverage Company Coca-Cola/Cappy (NBC) provided Al-Aqsa Islamic Schools and Kindergartens in the city of Jerusalem with laptops, in an effort to help the teaching staff in the school to present their educational topics to the students in a better and integrated manner.

The laptops were handed over to the school at the headquarters of the National Beverage Company Coca-Cola/Cappy, in the presence of Mr. Alaa Esawi, Public Relations and the Technical Department Coordinator of NBC, Mr. Adel Hallaq, General Manager of Al-Aqsa Islamic Schools and Kindergartens, and Mr. Nabil Hammouda, Deputy of the Board of Trustees.

Commenting on the event, Mr. Imad al-Hindi, General Manager of the National Beverage Company Coca-Cola/Cappy, confirmed that his Company's support for Al-Aqsa Islamic School stems from its responsibility towards achieving sustainable development, which can be achieved by creating a distinguished generation that possesses the multiple skills and capabilities necessary for the advancement and development of our society.  He pointed out that through such support NBC seeks to help the schools keep pace with development process, and to offer educational topics using modern and advanced means that contribute to empowering students and ensuring that they acquire knowledge in the best and easiest way.

 

Mr. al-Hindi stated, "We at the National Beverage Company Coca-Cola/Cappy attach great importance to the Education Sector; and we are working with all our power to provide the educational process with the requirements for its success and progress, and to improve its quality, due to our belief that education is the basic foundation for building the future, and raising a better generation that leads to the Palestinian development."

On his part, Mr. Adel Hallaq, General Manager of Al-Aqsa Islamic Schools and Kindergartens, thanked and appreciated the National Beverage Company Coca-Cola/Cappy for its contribution to supporting the educational process in the school; and commended NBC’s constant efforts in supporting the Education Sector in all its forms.

Mr. Hallaq stressed, "Keeping up with the development in the educational process and introducing computers and modern educational tools to it will contribute to empowering students and developing their competences, and can add a touch of fun in the means of delivering information to the students,"  He noted that Al-Aqsa Islamic Schools and Kindergartens are among the prominent schools in the city of Jerusalem, offering a center for illumination and a beacon for science and education.  They aim to spread religious, educational, national knowledge and tuition awareness to students, and seek to advance the educational process by implementing various supportive and educational activities, events and programs.

It is noteworthy that the National Beverage Company Coca-Cola/Cappy, as part of its social responsibility, has endeavored since its inception to support the Education Sector and took various educational initiatives. The Company worked on commissioning 44 school computer labs, 8 vocational training workshops in governmental schools, and a computer lab for scientific research at the University of Palestine in Gaza, in addition to implementing various other initiatives, such as launching back-to-school campaigns, represented in the distribution of school bags to needy and sick students in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, and in supporting the President Mahmoud Abbas Fund to help Palestinian students in Palestinian camps in Lebanon.
