In cooperation with SOS Children's Villages Palestine, The National Beverage Company Sponsors a Group of Children for One Year




 

 

The National Beverage Company Coca-Cola/Cappy (NBC) took action, in cooperation with SOS Children's Villages Palestine, to provide an entire-year sponsorship for a group of children in Bethlehem.

Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Imad al-Hindi, General Manager of NBC, said, "Our cooperation with SOS Children's Villages Organization to sponsor a group of children who lack family support and provide them with all their needs is intended to perform our social responsibility that we have been committed to adhere to since our inception, and an implementation of our vision in promoting humanitarian spirit and charitable work, as well as  a continuation of our mission and duty to serve the community and support community projects.

He added, "we endeavor, through our sponsorship, to secure a decent life for a group of children who have lost family care, as a contribution to supporting such groups and provide them with their need to be active and dynamic people in the future, especially since children are the main element for building and developing the society."

Mr. al-Hindi praised the role played by SOS Children's Villages Organization in helping children and youth who have lost family care by providing them with alternative care, and helping them form and secure their future.  He hoped that NBC will be part of such great efforts, to contribute to achieving the Organization's vision that strives to make every child grow up while under the care of a loving and strong family, surrounded by respect and protection to contribute to building and advancing his community.

On his part, Mr. Ibrahim Faltas, the National Director of SOS Children's Villages, appreciated the sponsorship of NBC for a group of children.  He expressed his thanks and pride in the presence of a national company such as the National Beverage Company Coca-Cola/Cappy that sponsors children who lack family support and seeks to provide everything necessary to contribute to their growing up in loving and warm homes.

He added, "We, at SOS Children's Villages are working to build families for children who have lost family care, so they can live in such a family environment according to their own culture, within which they learn and hone their individual abilities, interests and talents.   We monitor and follow up on them so that each one becomes independent and active in his community."

It is noteworthy that SOS Children's Villages is a non-governmental and non-profit humanitarian organization that was founded in 1966 in the city of Bethlehem.  It is concerned with providing alternative care for children who have lost family support and empowering children and families at risk of losing family care.  The Organization has a village in Bethlehem that includes 14 houses, and another village in Rafah in Gaza that includes 12 houses. The Organization works through its various programs on caring for more than 3,000 children.
