Gaza- "Al Ayyam": In cooperation with the Ministry of Education, the National Beverage Company Coca-Cola/Cappy (NBC) completed the furnishing of equipment for the Renewable Energy Vocational Training Workshop at Dair Al Balah Industrial School, in line with the Ministry's vision to encourage students to join vocational and technical education through providing enhanced learning and educational environment.
NBC has provided all main equipment and tools required for the vocational workshop. The Company had partially equipped the workshop in 2020 and has completed the equipment this year.
H.E Nafea Assaf, Minister of Education, expressed his thanks and gratitude to the private sector for supporting education, and specifically praising NBC's efforts for supporting the education sector in general and vocational education in particular.
H.E Nafea Assaf said: "Our need for integrated and well-equipped educational environment in the vocational field became essential, especially after the increase in turnout to such kind of education as a result of the Ministry's interest to expand merging vocational education in schools, encouraging students to enroll in its various disciplines; thus, will be capable to join the labor market".
Mr. Imad al-Hindi, General Manager of NBC, on his part, stated that NBC believes in the importance of the Education Sector, as NBC continuously aims at supporting and developing this sector on both academic and vocational levels. He pointed out that equipping vocational workshops has been included in NBC's agenda, and the Company has annually exerted efforts to follow up and provide the sector with its needs.
NBC has recently furnished and equipped the Hotel Department at Ramallah Vocational Secondary Girls School. Earlier, the Company had provided the equipment to the Fashion designing and production workshops at Abdul Qader Al Qadi Vocational School in North Al Khalil. Furthermore, it has provided furniture and equipment to various vocational units in Oqab Mofaddi Secondary Girls School in South Nablus, as well as Al Khansaa Secondary Girls School in Jenin and Jericho Secondary Girls School.
