Gaza – Palestine:

INJAZ Palestine has launched the “Resilient Women – Economic Empowerment for Women in Gaza” project, funded by the National Beverage Company, with the aim of supporting and empowering 20 Palestinian women who lost their breadwinners during the war on Gaza, and helping them build a more stable and independent future.

This initiative comes in light of the significant economic and social challenges facing the Gaza Strip due to damaged infrastructure, declining economic activity, and high unemployment rates—particularly among women and youth. Through this project, INJAZ Palestine seeks to enhance women’s ability to rely on themselves and integrate into productive economic activities, contributing positively to the stability of their families and local communities.

The project aims to strengthen the economic and social resilience of women by providing specialized training focused on psychosocial support and creating a safe space for expression and participation, thereby boosting self-confidence and helping participants cope with the daily challenges they face.

The training sessions witnessed an atmosphere of positive interaction and hope, as participants exchanged stories and human experiences that reflected their strong determination to face challenges and turn them into opportunities for growth and development.

In this context, Imad Hindi, General Manager of the National Beverage Company, said:
“We believe that empowering women economically and socially is a fundamental pillar for building a balanced and resilient society. Our support for the ‘Resilient Women’ project stems from our commitment to our social responsibility toward Palestinian women, who embody resilience and creativity despite challenges. We will continue working to support initiatives that provide women with genuine opportunities for growth and active participation in the local economy.”

For his part, Munther Zahran, Acting General Manager of INJAZ Palestine, emphasized that this training marks the first step in a series of ongoing interventions within the project aimed at economically and socially empowering women and providing them with the necessary psychological support. He stressed that empowering women is a key entry point for community recovery and building a more sustainable and just future.

One of the participants expressed her appreciation, saying:
“These meetings give us a strong motivation to keep going and make us feel that we are not alone. We have big ideas that need development, and these trainings help us refine them. We hope to start small businesses that can improve our economic conditions during this difficult stage.”
