INJAZ Palestine and National Beverage Company Launch the Second Phase of the “Resilient Women” Project

INJAZ Palestine has launched the second phase of the “Resilient Women” project, under the sponsorship of National Beverage Company )NBC) Coca-Cola/Cappy, to continue to support and empower women affected by the difficult humanitarian and economic conditions in the Gaza Strip and strengthen their ability to build sustainable sources of income.

The launch of the second phase comes amid the continued economic and humanitarian challenges facing the people of Gaza, including the loss of livelihoods, declining employment opportunities, and increasing financial pressures on families. These challenges have placed an additional burden on women, particularly those who have lost the primary breadwinner of their families. Against this backdrop, the project focuses on providing women with practical opportunities to develop their skills and transition from receiving assistance to building more sustainable sources of income and employment.

The project targets 20 women who have lost the primary breadwinner of their families, providing them with the knowledge and skills needed to establish small businesses. The initiative aims to improve their economic circumstances while strengthening their ability to support their families and achieve greater financial independence.

The launch of the second phase builds on the success of the project's first phase, which provided participants with a supportive environment, strengthened their self-confidence, and developed their skills across various areas. It also helped participants develop their ideas and translate them into practical steps that could serve as a foundation for future economic opportunities. The experience of the first phase demonstrated the importance of providing women with comprehensive training, guidance, and support to strengthen their ability to cope with difficult economic circumstances and leverage their potential to create sources of income.

The second phase includes specialized training in entrepreneurship, small business management, marketing, financial management, and developing ideas into viable and sustainable business ventures. Following completion of the training phase, financial support will be provided to several participants to help them launch their own businesses, enabling them to turn their ideas into real economic activities and sources of income.

Imad Hindi, General Manager of National Beverage Company Coca-Cola/Cappy, said that the company’s support for the project comes as part of its commitment to corporate social responsibility and its efforts to support the communities and groups most affected by the current circumstances, while strengthening the resilience and empowerment of women and families in Gaza.

“We believe that women’s empowerment is not limited to assisting during times of crisis. It requires providing the tools, skills, and opportunities that enable women to build a more stable and independent future. During the first phase of the ‘Resilient Women’ project, we witnessed the importance of this type of intervention and its positive impact on the participants. This is why we are continuing our support for the second phase, providing 20 women with the opportunity to develop their skills and launch businesses that can become sources of income and employment for themselves and their families. We reaffirm our commitment to supporting initiatives that contribute to women’s empowerment and strengthen their participation in economic life, particularly amid the difficult circumstances facing the Gaza Strip,” Hindi said.

Hindi also highlighted the range of humanitarian and community initiatives implemented by National Beverage Company in Gaza in recent years, noting that the second phase of the “Resilient Women” project builds on these efforts and contributes to strengthening women’s economic empowerment and helping them address the challenges they currently face.

For his part, Munther Zahran, General Manager of INJAZ Palestine, thanked National Beverage Company Coca-Cola/Cappy for its sponsorship and continued support for the project, emphasizing that the partnership reflects a shared commitment to social responsibility and to addressing humanitarian and development needs in the Gaza Strip.

Zahran added that the project goes beyond providing temporary financial assistance, instead seeking to equip women with the skills and tools needed to establish small businesses and build more sustainable sources of income for themselves and their families. He emphasized that moving from training to creating real opportunities for employment and productive economic activity is one of the key objectives of the project’s second phase.
