National Beverage Company provides sponsorship to the Orthodox Bethlehem Basketball Team

Beitunia: The National Beverages Company Coca-Cola/Cappy(NBC) signed a one-year inclusive sponsorship agreement with the Orthodox Bethlehem Club for the benefit of the Club’s basketball team. The signing ceremony took place in the Company’s Headquarters in Beitunia, in the presence of Imad al-Hindi, General Manager of NBC and Saleh Al Bandak, the Orthodox Bethlehem Club Vice Chairman and Head of the Sports’ Committee.   


The uniform of the team, composed of 12 players, will be tagged with the logo of “Sprite”.  The Orthodox Bethlehem Club has been preparing, since the summer season of 2017/2018, for the coming matches for its participation in the Premier League.  


During the signature ceremony, Mr. al-Hindi expressed his pride for signing a sponsorship agreement with the Orthodox Bethlehem Football Club, being one of the oldest basketball teams in the national sports arena. He also commended theteam’s outstanding results in the Premier League and praised the professional performance of the players. He highlighted, with pride, the endless efforts of the team management to provide the best to ensure the outstanding performance of the players. He wished that this sponsorship will be a good start for a long relationship with the Club.


Mr. al-Hindi stressed that providing the Orthodox Bethlehem Basketball Team with support and assistance is marking NBC’s established support for the Palestinian Sports Sector, which has been recently experiencing noticeable development, in both team games and individual games. He added that the ongoing progress of the sports performance encourages NBC management to sponsor more sports teams, enabling them morally and materially to enhance their competitiveness at both the national and international levels. He also noted NBC ongoing interest in sponsoring young players and football schools in order to nurture a skilled and capable sports generation.


On behalf of Issa Juha, the Chairman of Orthodox Bethlehem Club and the administrative and general comittees of the Club, Saleh Al-Bandak thanked NBC for its support and sponsorship to the Club. "We hope to do our best in the Premier League through our different participations to maintain continuous and sustainable development and to continue the fruitful cooperation with NBC”, he added.


Al-Bandak also called on all companies and private sector entities to support the Palestinian sports. He noted that the team will continue its outstanding performance in the Premier League matches. Besides, the team will play an international match with the “AEK Athens” team in Greece on November 11 this year to mark the 14th anniversary of the late President, Yasser Arafat.
