National Beverage Company Coca-Cola/Cappy honors Copa Coca-Cola 2015 winner teams




 

Ramallah- Al-Hayat Economy- The National Beverage Company Coca-Cola/Cappy (NBC) honored Mawaheb Al-Taif team, winner at the local teams’ level, which won the title of Copa Coca-Cola Football Quintets Tournament, and Nablus Education Directorate Team, winner at the level of local schools, which was organized by NBC in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education. The ceremony on the occasion, held at NBC headquarters in Beitunia, was attended by Mr. Imad al-Hindi, General Manager of the National Beverage Company Coca-Cola/Cappy, Elham Mehisan, Director General of Student Activities, and a number of representatives of the Ministry of Education and NBC, in addition to the families of players of both teams and the referees.
 
During the ceremony, the Ministry and referees were honored for their efforts supporting the Palestinian junior sports talents.  Mr. Imad al-Hindi, General Manager of the National Beverage Company Coca-Cola/Cappy, said he was proud of the refined sports skills demonstrated by the junior players in Mawaheb Al-Taif and Nablus Education Directorate teams. He said: “we congratulate all those who participated in Copa Coca-Cola Football Quintets Tournament. The mere participation in this national championship holds the promise of a future filled with the Palestinian talents. Therefore, we encourage all those who did not get lucky to win this year to continue the persistence and training to participate next year.”
 
Mr. al-Hindi congratulated Mawaheb Al-Taif team for winning and qualifying to participate in Copa Coca-Cola Championship in Germany, wishing all junior teams to win in the upcoming years.
Mr. al-Hindi emphasized the important role of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, supporting the youth sports talents in the Palestinian schools and discovering and encouraging more talents year after years. He said that NBC will keep up its role organizing the championship on an annual basis. He pointed out: “We extend thanks to the Ministry of Education which gave us the opportunity to develop our strategic partnership during the past years where we recognized the untapped talents of students, which encouraged us to expand the range of the championship to include all talented youth in the age group 12-15 years, and opening the opportunities to all juniors to demonstrate and refine their abilities, like their peers worldwide”.
 
On her part, Elham El-Mehisan, indicated the commitment of the Ministry of Education to the ongoing partnership with NBC to organize sports activities and other events which target the youth in different sectors, who are considered by the Ministry as the core pillar to build a better future of Palestine. The Ministry of Education noted that it is looking forward to intensify its various activities; in particular, the sports activities, for their positive impact on students’ morals as they promote the students to learn, create, behave well, and acquire psychological and physical health. Further, such activities promote the sports culture, cooperation spirit, and dedicated efforts in pursuit of their ambitions and academic dreams.
 
Further, she highlighted the Ministry of Education’s policy of openness to the national institutions based on the partnership model.
On his part, Honsi Assad, Captain of Mawaheb Al-Taif Football Team said: “our success is the outcome of our teamwork, as well as the outcome of NBC’s efforts which opened the doors of excellence and internationality to us.”
 
This winning represents our starting point toward international professionalism; therefore, we intensify our efforts to develop our talents and to get ready to participate in the international Copa Coca-Cola Championship, as well as to honor Palestine in Germany and put its name in a prestigious position on the international sports map.

 

He added: “we thank NBC for sponsoring us and for launching the initiative which means a lot to us and to all the talented football junior players”.
