150 Tablets distributed to 3 schools in the West Bank The National Beverage Company Coca-Cola/Cappy and Ministry of Education conclude the 9th phase of “Tomorrow Is Ours”

Ramallah- Al-Hayat Economic: The National Beverage Company Coca-Cola/Cappy (NBC) in collaboration with the Ministry of Edu action and Higher Education concludes the 9th phase of “Tomorrow Is Ours” Project for school computerization. This project aims to provide the less equipped schools with tablets to enable the students and teachers to benefit from advanced educational applications and software, and employ technology to transfer knowledge from teachers to students by means of enjoyable, up to date and educational approaches, a method that contributes to enhance the educational process, especially in marginalized regions.
As part of the 9th phase of “Tomorrow Is Ours”, the Company distributed 150 tablets to Deir Baloot Elementary School for girls in Salfit Governorate, Samy El-Qubbaj Co-educational Elementary School in Tulkarem, and Al-Mu’tasim Elementary School for girls in Hebron.
Dr. Sabri Saidam, Minister of Education and Higher Education commended the efforts exerted by the National Beverage Company Coca-Cola/Cappy in the Education Sector, especially its contribution to the computerization of the educational process, which was in line with the plan and strategy of the Ministry to upgrade the education process to advanced levels. This, in turn, would ease access to information by the students and enrich their knowledge. It would also provide the teachers with a modern and effective method to communicate with students and explain the information. It would also enrich the students’ concepts, and encourage their self, collective and interactive learning.
Dr. Saidam confirmed that the efforts of the Ministry of Education will continue to promote and develop the education process that would concentrate on enhancing the potentials of the teachers, upgrade education methods, in addition to introducing modern technology. He added that the renaissance of the education process would not be realized without an integrated system that combines all efforts for the sake of achieving the most supreme target which is equipping graduates so as to be able to face the challenges and demands of the labor market, and make the best use of their skills for the sake of benefiting their community and their nation.
On his part, Mr. Imad al-Hindi, General Manager of NBC said that “We, at NBC, are keen to study the needs of our society, and we try to meet such needs with all available and most advanced means. The introduction of electronic curriculum, and adopting up-to-date methods for the education process would provide our students and their teachers with a platform that would enable them to benefit from such means. This would in turn prepare a generation fully eager to learn, and capable to employ knowledge and culture to achieve the progress of the country and build up its institutions.” He made it clear that the Company has been committed over the last nine years to implement the project of providing schools with computers, “Tomorrow Is Ours”, out of its belief of the importance of merging education with contemporary and interactive means and approaches that would motivate the spirit of innovation, and the passion for knowledge for students. This in turn would widen their horizons and increase their potentials for contributing to their nation and society. He added that the Company is keen to support schools in marginalized regions, to allow students in these regions to benefit from the advanced and interactive education, and face the challenges that surround them, a matter that would enable them afterwards to participate in achieving the required change in their Palestinian society.
Mr. al-Hindi expressed his pride to have such continuous partnership with the Ministry of Education and Higher Eductaion, indicating the importance of the integration of roles between all the institutions of the nation, in order to have a generation of graduates equipped with knowledge and scientific potentials that would enable them to realize the scientific progress, and open new horizons of welfare and progress in Palestine. He made it clear that NBC would always endeavor to maintain its constructive partnership with the Ministry, and coordinate efforts, and keep on working to contribute to develop the education sector in Palestine.
