National Beverage Company Coca-Cola/Cappy support Gaza Basketball Team
Ramallah – Alhayat Sports – the National Beverage Company Coca-Cola/Cappy (NBC) announced its support for the basketball team of Gaza Sporting Club. NBC has provided support for the Club by supplying the basketball team with sports requisites and clothing they need, which carried the logo of a NBC product, Sprite.
Mr. Imad al-Hindi, General Manager of the National Beverage Company Coca-Cola/Cappy confirmed the company's interest in providing support and care to the various sports clubs and teams across the country in a translation of the Company's vision and commitment to its responsibility towards supporting sports and youth sector in Palestine, and in Gaza Strip in particular.
He said, “We hope through continuing our support to contribute to energizing motivating young Gazans who have a passion in various sports. We are also committed to support the clubs to contribute to exploring, identifying and refining Palestinian talents, so that we can together overcome all challenges facing sports and establish the name of Palestine, including the West Bank and Gaza, on the local and international sports map.
Mr. al-Hindi expressed his pride that his Company is part of the support for the endurance of the sports and athletes in the Gaza Strip, adding that “Sport has become a means of proving existence and the right to live as a Palestinian on our home land, Palestine, without restriction shackling our freedom and our movement, controlling our capabilities and the talents of our young people.”
Mr. al-Hindi went on to state that “our commitment to support sports and youth sports sector is a prove of our passion as Palestinians and as national companies to send out a message to the world that we, in spite of difficulties and challenges, are a people who loves life and seeks to success and excellence. We, in the National Beverage Company Coca-Cola/Cappy, will utilize all the resources that we have to improve the reality of sports and strengthen the endurance of sports clubs in Gaza Strip, and to develop a healthier future for our young athletes.”
On his part, Mr. Mousa al-Wazir, President of Gaza Sporting Club, pointed out the efforts the officials of the Sports Club of Gaza that have contributed to the endurance of the Club and the re-union of the sports teams, especially the Basketball Club Team, whose players have demonstrated their will to overcome political and economic challenges that prevent the realization of their Sports aspirations. Mr. al-Wazir explained that the Club's success in securing a place that embraces the Palestinian sports talents in spite of the difficult conditions still overwhelming Gaza Strip reflects our quest as Palestinians to prove our right on this land. It shows the amount of love for our homeland and our determination to live despite the challenges.”
Mr. al-Wazir commended the support and contribution of the National Beverage Company Coca-Cola/Cappy (NBC), and said, “We thank NBC for the sponsorship and for covering the costs of supplies for the basketball team of the Gaza Sporting Club. We look forward to more sponsorships for the other sports teams in Gaza by the Company. We, in Gaza, need efforts similar to NBC’s efforts and all the support for sports and youth sector in Palestine, which would contribute to further the sports development process and provide fully active and positive energy to re-instill hope in the hearts of the people and youth of Gaza Strip.
