Palestinian sports are at the core of our concern and care
Jerusalem - Pal Sport Agency -   The National Beverage Company is preparing over the next few days to celebrate the lapse of fifteen years of its presence in the Palestinian market.  The National Beverage Company is culminating its important achievements that placed the Palestinian consumer in the heart of its concern all these years through its contribution to the economic and social development.  In 1998, the Company deservedly obtained a manufacturing license from
Coca-Cola international, which allowed it to proudly produce its product at the hands of Palestinian people. Since the first year of its presence in Palestine, supporting and sponsoring community activities were incorporated in the Company’s top priorities and in the forefront of its developmental programs.  Special attention was given to sports, particularly providing support for emerging teams, establishment of football and basketball schools and teams in the Palestinian clubs and providing support for clubs and teams.
The General Manager of the National Beverage Company Coca-Cola/Cappy, Mr. Imad al-Hindi said, “The list goes on, as we have been keen to take care of women teams, in particular the First Ramallah Women Football Team which has been the best women team in Palestine that won many local tournaments and held the best position in the Arab Championships. Also, the Capital De La Salle Basketball Team received our care for many years. This team is distinguished by wearing the Sprite logo. In our endeavor to develop sports education, the NBC established the first school to teach basketball in collaboration with the Orthodox Club in Ramallah in order to prepare and qualify the various age groups from early years by training them on the principles of basketball. We have also sponsored the Football School in Jerusalem’s Silwan Club, the Football School in Al Berih Youth Foundation in 2010 a the team of the Youngsters Union Club in the city of Nablus.” 
Mr. al-Hindi added: “We, in the NBC, look at our role that is based on our corporate social responsibility with significant attention. This position is reflected in three areas:  our product, our society our partners. We also build partnerships with various institutions, including the government, the civil society and the private sector to achieve sustainable development and economic prosperity. There are strong relationships that we have developed with many clubs, sports associations and youth organizations.”
About the most prominent sports sponsorships during the current year 2013, Mr. Imad al-Hindi summed them in the following:
Renewing sponsorship for the First Ramallah Women Football Team and the Jerusalem De La Salle Basketball team; providing sponsorship for sports teams in Al-Berih Foundation, Salfit Tennis Team and the Football School in Silwan Club; providing sponsorship for the participation of the UNRWA Team - Gaza in the Summer Football Games in the Norway Cup; as well as sponsoring the first sports website in Palestine, Pal Sport Network, for the tenth year in a row.
NBC has also sponsored the Handball Team of Kufor Zibad Sports Club; the COPA Coca-Cola tournaments for institutions; Aqabat Jabr Youth Center for Football; the tournament of boarder villages - Meddya, Shuqba, Badras and Qibya. NBC provided sponsorship for the capability and endurance championship "Autocross 2013" and  Turmus'ayya Club - the second round of the horse jumping tournament.
