National Beverage Company sponsors a Charity Ceremony for Al-Nahda Women’s Charitable Society




 

The National Beverage Company Coca-Cola/Cappy (NBC) sponsored the charity ceremony that was held by Al-Nahda Women’s Charitable Society for children with special needs. The ceremony was held at Ramallah municipality hall and was attended by official and popular figures, in addition to some civil society organizations. The event featured theatre spots which were performed by the Society’s children.

Commenting on the ceremony, Mr. Imad al-Hindi, General Manager of NBC, said: “NBC is keen to support this loved group in the society, and to engage children with special needs in public events towards mainstreaming children with special needs in the society”.

Mr. al-Hindi noted that as part of its social responsibility, NBC is continuously working to mainstream the less-privileged groups in the society. He indicated that the private sector has a duty to dedicate its efforts to foster this group and contribute to building bridges of communication between this group and the civil society organizations.

Ms. Da'ad Jobran, the Head of Administration of Al-Nahda Women’s Charitable Society, appreciated NBC for sponsoring the ceremony, and pointed out that charitable ceremonies represent an opportunity to please and bring joy to the Society’s children. Ms. Jobran added that the Society is working with the private sector to mainstream the Society’s children in the society, and she noted that Al-Nahda Women’s Charitable Society is exerting massive efforts in this area by teaching the children crafts and vocational skills that enable them to be productive and useful in the society.

As part of its social responsibility strategy, NBC has endeavored to provide support and care to the children with special needs by way of holding entertainment events and group activities.
