The National Beverage Company Coca-Cola/Cappy,
has signed an agreement with the Al-Bireh Cultural Club
to sponsor their women's fencing team. The signing ceremony took place at
the company's headquarters in Ramallah, with the presence of the General
Manager of the National Beverage Company, Mr. Imad Al-Hindi, and the President
of the Al-Bireh Cultural Club, Mr. Daoud Mitwali, as well as the board member
and project manager, Mr. Ayman Sabih, and the club's advisor, Ms. Manal Tafesh.
Mr. Imad Al-Hindi, the General
Manager of the National Beverage Company, stated: "The company is keen on
maintaining its long-standing partnership with Al-Bireh Cultural Club,
especially in supporting the women's fencing team. He added that the company's
strategy in supporting and developing sports is one of its core
commitments."
Al-Hindi also emphasized that
supporting women and girls in sports has significantly contributed to enhancing
their presence in Palestinian sports, especially in individual sports where
Palestine has achieved remarkable accomplishments on the Arab and regional
levels.
In response, Mr. Daoud Mitwali,
the President of Al-Bireh Cultural Club, thanked the National Beverage Company
Coca-Cola/Cappy for their continuous support. He highlighted that the women's
fencing team has made remarkable progress and now includes several players. He
pointed out that fencing is an important individual sport on the global level,
and the players can excel in this discipline.
The National Beverage Company Coca-Cola/Cappy
aims to support Palestinian sports in general and women's sports in particular,
recognizing its positive impact on empowering women. The company takes a
significant share of its social responsibility in executing such initiatives
within the Palestinian community.
