The National Beverage Company Coca-Cola/Cappy has signed an agreement with Sarryet Ramallah First Ramallah Group. Under the agreement, the company sponsors the female’s football team. The agreement was signed between the two parties at the company's headquarters in Ramallah, in the presence of the General Manager of the National Beverage Company, Mr. Imad Al-Hindi, the Chairman of the Board of Sarryet Ramallah First Ramallah Group, Mr. Mikhail Quraitim, and the Executive Director, Mr. Khaled Alian.
Mr. Imad Al-Hindi, the General Manager
of the National Beverage Company, stated, "The company aims to continue
supporting Sarryet Ramallah First Ramallah Group’s female team to provide a
solid platform for Palestinian young women, assisting them in achieving their
aspirations and excelling in sports." Al-Hindi emphasized that supporting
sports in Palestine is a fundamental priority within their corporate social
responsibility, especially women's sports for its impact on empowering
Palestinian girls.
Al-Hindi considered the company's commitment to supporting female’s football rooted in their belief in the necessity of developing the skills of Palestinian female players in a sport that has historically been male-dominated. The National Beverage Company seeks to provide equal opportunities for various age groups and genders to engage in diverse sports, as long as Palestine accommodates such athletes.
He further noted that the progress in
the field of female’s sports over recent years has been evident, and continuous
support is required to ensure the ongoing development of players' skills,
assisting Palestinian teams in achieving accomplishments and participating in
local, regional, and international tournaments.
On his part, Mr. Mikhail Quraitim, the
Chairman of the Board of Sarryet Ramallah First Ramallah Group, expressed his
gratitude for the role of the National Beverage Company Coca-Cola/Cappy and its
consistent support since 2010. He highlighted the group's continuous efforts to
develop its sports teams, particularly the female’s team, which has gained
significant prominence in Palestinian female’s football. Quraitim emphasized
the private sector's role in supporting sports teams, contributing to the
development of women's sports, providing suitable facilities and equipment, and
fostering a healthy sports environment that encourages growth and achievements.
He noted that Sarryet Ramallah First Ramallah Group has completed the
renovation and preparation of its sports facilities to ensure a healthy
environment that serves the local community and encourages sports engagement.
It's worth mentioning that the National Beverage Company Coca-Cola/Cappy consistently supports women's sports in Palestine by backing various clubs and sports initiatives that promote women's participation in the sporting arena, encompassing both team and individual sports.
