In cooperation with Coca-Cola Eurasia & Middle East, the National Beverage Company Coca-Cola/Cappy (NBC) held a training workshop for its staff. The 2-day training workshop entitled “Incident Management and Crisis Resolution” was held at NBC’s headquarters at Ramallah, and it addressed the modern approaches of the basics of incident and crisis management, identifying the teams concerned with incident management and crisis resolution, and how to train them, in addition to introducing the analysis tools of incident management, and presenting all the categories that fall within IMCR.
Training is a part of the strategy adopted by NBC to apply the latest international standards for occupational safety and health and food safety, to stress to the staff the importance of prevention and safety. NBC strives to familiarize all the staff with the effective IMCR mechanisms, and to detect the potential problems towards ensuring the protection of the NBC’s consumers, clients and staff, as well as the surrounding environment.
The training workshop was conducted in cooperation with Coca-Cola Eurasia & Middle East, and it was attended by Mr. Nagesh Muniyappa, Technical Risk Manager and Mr. Arpan Basu, Strategic Communications Director. During the training workshop, NBC Incident and Crisis Management team was evaluated through the presentation of practical applications, and it was evaluated based on the mechanism of effective crises handling and resolution, and the tools used to this end.
Mr. Imad al-Hindi, General Manager of NBC, said: “NBC attaches great importance to such training workshops due to their significant impact improving the technical capacities and developing potential crisis response approaches among the staff”. He noted that training will apply the latest international standards in the field of occupational safety and health systems.
Mr. al-Hindi added that the training workshop conducted in partnership with Coca-Cola Eurasia & Middle East will familiarize all NBC staff with the IMCR mechanism, since the IMCR is used to detect potential problems to ensure that NBC’s consumers, clients and staff are protected.
NBC obtained several certifications in the area of safety and quality management system. Further, NBC’s factory at Ramallah obtained a certificate from the Palestinian Ministry of Labor in the field of compliance and responsiveness to the occupational safety and health systems.
