National Beverage Company to Distribute Food Parcels to Abstemious Families
Governorates- Alhaya Economic- The National Beverage Company Coca-Cola/Cappy (NBC) and Al-Tayf Dairy and Food Products Company provided hundreds of food parcels to the needy families in several governorates, as part of a social solidarity campaign during the holy month of Ramadan.
The campaign was initiated and implemented by NBC in cooperation with the Zakat committees and charitable associations, whereby food parcels were distributed to the needy families in Jenin, Nablus, Qalqilya, Salfit, Tulkarm, Ramallah, Al-Bireh, Bethlehem, and Hebron governorates. The parcels contain basic food supplies, which the families need during the holy month, in addition to some products from NBC and Al-Tayf Dairy and Food Products.
Mr. Imad al-Hindi, General Manager of NBC, said that the food aids which NBC has distributed at the start of the month of goodness in a number of governorates nationwide were simply a small portion for our people, especially in view of the economic circumstances caused by the coronavirus pandemic, which exacerbated their conditions under the Israeli occupation.
Mr. al-Hindi said that he was pleased for the completion of the campaign and distribution of food parcels to the abstemious families, asserting that these groups need our care and attention. He emphasized the importance of having all entities and institutions stand by them all the time, provide them with all the support required to meet their needs, and provide them with relief, especially during the month of Ramadan.
Mr. al-Hindi asserted NBC’s commitment to continue implementing humanitarian campaigns and activities for the society in all areas countrywide, including charity campaigns during the holy month, as well as NBC’s obligation to help the abstemious families so that they can get through their arduous economic conditions. Mr. al-Hindi further expressed appreciation of the considerable efforts and role assumed by the Zakat committees since the launch of the distribution of food parcels.
