In Cooperation with the Municipality of Al-Nawaimeh and Al-Douk Al-Foka National Beverage Company provides support for the installation of an umbrella in Muscat Secondary School for Girls in Jericho
Jericho - The National Beverage Company Coca-Cola/Cappy (NBC) and the Municipality of Al-Nawaimeh and Al-Douk Al-Foka have completed the installation of an umbrella in the yard of Muscat Secondary School for Girls in the town located to the north-west of Jericho. The initiative came s part of NBC's endeavor to continue satisfying the needs of the local community in all governorates, including the provision of more comfortable environment for male and female students in their schools.
The ceremony on the installation of the 320-aq. meter umbrella in the school yard was attended by Nasr Abu Karsh, Director of Education in Jericho and Al-Aghwar Governorate, Luay Musleh, Plant Manager-Jericho Mineral Water Plant, Samer Fetiane, Quality Manager at the Plant, Sameer Awadallah, Assistant Maintenance Manager at the Plant, Husam Drai'at, Mayor of Al-Nawaimeh and Al-Douk Al-Foka, Amal Jouhar, Building Engineer at Jericho Directorate, and Jawaher Areenat, principal of Muscat Secondary School.
In his speech, Nasr Abu Karsh thanked NBC for its continuous support to education in Jericho and Al-Aghwar. He added that this will contribute to utilizing the school yard for multi-purposes and using it in several activities. He also praised the joint cooperation between the Directorate of Education, the Municipality and NBC which represents a realistic example of the integrated role amongst the institutions of the local community and the Ministry to serve the development of the educational process as a whole.
Abu Karsh also thanked the Municipality of Al-Nawaimeh and Al-Douk Al-Foka for doing its best to provide everything possible to support the schools and the educational process in the town.
Mr. Imad al-Hindi, General Manager of the National Beverage Company confirmed that the Company's management is proud of the cooperation with the Municipality of Al-Nawaimeh and Al-Douk Al-Foka, praising its permanent and continuous keenness to provide all necessary supplies to the habitants of the town and improve their living conditions. He indicated that the installation of the umbrella in the yard of Muscat School is part of NBC's strategy represented in the commitment to its social responsibility towards all sectors and its keenness to participate in the initiatives that provide assistance to all segments of the society.
Mr. al-Hindi added: "We hope that the umbrella will contribute to providing an appropriate environment to the students while using the school yard, especially while practicing sport activities and the various student activities". He also expressed NBC's permanent readiness to provide sponsorship and support for student activities which raise the performance level of male and female students in all Schools. He also pointed out that NBC Management always seeks to contribute to sustainable development and satisfaction of the developmental needs of remote areas and towns suffering from the lack of resources.
Husam Drai'at, Mayor of Al-Nawaimeh and Al-Douk Al-Foka, thanked NBC and the management of Jericho Plant in Jericho governorate the rapid response to cooperate with the Municipality to install the umbrella in the yard of Muscat Secondary School which involves 270 students from both Al-Nawaimeh and Al-Douk Al-Foka. He also praised the professional effort in the installation of the umbrella which will protect students from the rain in winter and the extremely high temperature in summer.
