National Beverage Company signs an agreement to sponsor Football Academy of the Abna’a Alquds Club




 

Ramallah- The National Beverage Company Coca-Cola/Cappy and Abna’a Al-Quds Club signed an agreement to sponsor the Football Academy affiliated to the Club. The agreement was signed by Mr. Imad al-Hindi, General Manager of the National Beverage Company Coca-Cola/Cappy and Ahmed Khamis, representing the Administrative Board of Abnaa Alquds Club. The agreement was signed at the headquarters of the National Beverage Company in Beitunia in the presence of Jawwad Abu Ghariba, President of Abnaa Alquds Club, and Ahmed Khamis, Vice-President, in addition to Alaa Esawi, from the National Beverage Company.
 
Under the agreement, NBC will provide the Football Academy affiliated to Abna’a Al-Quds Club with supplies, tools, and sports clothes required for the team for six months.  The number of beneficiaries of such sponsorship amounts to 150 male and female players, divided into three groups for each gender.
 
Mr. Imad al-Hindi affirmed NBC's commitment to support and sponsor clubs and sporting teams in different governorates, especially the clubs located in Jerusalem which proved their competence and developed the skills of their players, amid the challenges facing sports in Jerusalem. He indicated that the company will make dedicated efforts to develop the reality of sports and to support the sporting clubs in Jerusalem to contribute in portraying an honorable sports future in Palestine, and in the Capital city of Jerusalem.
 
Mr. al-Hindi commended the role of Abna’a Al-Quds Club maintaining the sports culture in Jerusalem. “We are committed to support Abna’a Al-Quds Club because it provides the females and males with equal opportunity to demonstrate and refine their talents in football. At the National Beverage Company Coca-Cola/Cappy, we are keen to contribute to developing the journey of women in the sports sector, especially that the Palestinian woman established herself in the Palestinian sports, and proved her ability to compete locally and globally. We cannot continue achieving this goal without the integrated cooperation across the clubs committed to develop the sporting skills of women and the supporting institutions from different sectors”, said Mr. al-Hindi.
 
He added that Abna’a Al-Quds Club and its critical location within the walls of the Old City make it inevitable to the national institutions and companies to provide it with support and sponsorship in order to maintain its path and to continue providing the people of the Old City with the sports, youth, and social services, especially that Abna’a Al-Quds Club has the third largest area in the Old City of Jerusalem and it is adjacent to the historical wall of Jerusalem.
 
“The National Beverage Company is persistent in its commitment to prepare a dynamic and energetic generation that can give the world the spirit of hope, and prove that the Palestinians are talented and that the challenges will not undermine their pursuit to achieve success" he pointed out. Mr. al-Hindi asserted that  NBC will continue supporting the sports section in Jerusalem in order to boost the name of Jerusalem city on the regional and global sports map.
 
On his part, Mr. Ahmed Khamis, valued the role of NBC and its commitment to support the Palestinian sports sector, especially in Jerusalem. Khamis affirmed that Abna’a Al-Quds Club has set its priority from the beginning; namely seeking to improve the sports sector in Jerusalem and boosting the capabilities of male and female youth in football. He indicated that having sponsors such as NBC promotes the club to continue embracing and sponsoring the largest number possible of sports youth groups.
