Al-Hindi expresses his admiration of the players’ talents and stresses the continuation of partnership with the Ministry of Education

Ramallah- Alayyam: The National Beverage Company “Coca-Cola/Cappy” and the Ministry of Education have crowned Kufur Sur Preliminary School for Boys from Tulkarem Directorate in the first place at the conclusion of COPA Coca-Cola League for male teams. Al-Bukhari Preliminary School for Boys from South Hebron Directorate ranked second during the final matches played among 16 directorates from the different governorates of the West Bank.

The final matches of COPA Coca-Cola League were held recently using the five-team elimination system on the playground of Kherbeta Al Mesbah School in Ramallah. This was the final stage of the league in which 132 teams from the high basic stage schools for boys. The final matches for female secondary school teams will be held next week.

Mr. Imad al-Hindi, General Manager of the National Beverage Company Coca-Cola/Cappy (NBC) said: “We, in NBC, seek through our permanent partnership with the Ministry of Education to give the students the necessary motives to pursue their dreams by providing proper environment to encourage them to release their talents. Therefore, the league comes as one of the events sponsored by NBC in order to contribute to promoting the positive energy of youth and arming them with healthy body and brain to continue their lives in a healthy and positive manner”.

Mr. al-Hindi expressed his admiration of students’ sportive capabilities demonstrated during the league; and said: “Every year, we are surprised by the unlimited skills of students in football. This gives us an incentive to continue holding such activities in order to encourage them to release their sportive skills. Moreover, we call upon all private and government entities and national clubs to support young players and nurture them to improve their skills and prepare them to play in professional national and international matches.”

Mr. Aref Asayra, Head of Sport Activity in the Ministry of Education said: “The General Directorate of Student Activities in the Ministry, represented by its General Director Mrs. Elham Khalil Al Moheisen and Mr. Jamal Farhood, Director of Sport Activity within General Directorate of Student Activities, is keen to continue the organization of the COPA Coca-Cola League for schools annually, and to continue the cooperation with the National Beverage Company Coca-Cola/Cappy in order to contribute to demonstrating the Palestinian youth skills and directing their capabilities towards this sport so as to invest in outstanding talents in the national clubs in the future with the objective of achieving their aspirations to attain professionalism and mastering of football”.
