National Beverage Comapny distributes 5,000 school bags within its “Back to School Campaign"

Ramallah – Al-Ayyam: The National Beverage Company Coca-Cola /Cappy, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, has distributed 4,000 school bags to the Directorates of Education in the West Bank on the occasion of the upcoming new academic year as part of its ongoing support of the community and the education sector in Palestine, and in continuation to its annual "Back to School" Campaign. In addition, more than 1,000 school bags were distributed to charity associations in the various provinces with special focus on the poor and marginalized areas.
The NBC confirmed that “it attaches particular importance to the ‘Back to School’ campaign, which it has been steadily organizing over the past years out of its keenness to provide support and encourage students in their educational journey. The campaign is a contribution by NBC in support of the Palestinian families, especially under the current economic conditions and the burdens of providing the school needs of their children.
The NBC General Manager, Mr. Imad al-Hindi said: "Our children, the school students, are preparing these days to return to school. I take this opportunity to wish them successful academic year." He explained that this campaign has social implications and was being organized as part of the company’s contributions to help the needy students in light of the difficult economic conditions experienced by the people Palestinian.” He noted that the process of selecting the students who would benefit from the assistance was made in accordance with social and economic bases to include all needy groups.
Mr. al-Hindi added: "We, as a national company, have been always keen to support the efforts of the Ministry of Education to develop education and enhance the capacity of Palestinian students, on this basis, we support our students and assure them that the National Beverage Company will always stand with them and we will always contribute to the efforts of all parties to support them in their endeavor to exercise their lawful right to education, especially the Ministry of Education."
On its part, the Ministry of Education praised the positive and continued role played by NBC at this time every year, and commended NBC’s ongoing quest to support the education process and its efforts to support the students and their families to continue this noble process, which obviously have had a positive impact in bringing about joy and happiness to the students and their families.
In confirmation of its social and humanitarian role, the National Beverage Company declared that it endeavors, through its corporate social responsibility program, to reach all segments of the society. The company has adopted a mechanism to ensure that the marginalized groups and low-income people would receive the largest share of the distributed bags, as well as to ensure that the campaign reaches the most remote areas in the provinces of the West Bank.
