National Beverage Company Coca-Cola/Cappy donates a sunshade (umbrella) for the Red Crescent's House of the Elderly in Nablus




 

 Beitunia - The National Beverage Company Coca-Cola/Cappy (NBC) has made a donation of a sunshade (umbrella) for the House of the Elderly in Nablus, affiliated to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, as part of NBC continued commitment to its social corporate responsibility.

 
Mr. Imad al-Hindi, General Manager of the National Beverage Company, confirmed that providing aid and support to the institutions that take care of the Elderly comes within the Company’s compliance with its responsibility towards the different groups of society in order to meet their needs. He hoped that the shade will alleviate the suffering of the inmates of the Elderly House and protect them from winter rains and summer heat. 
 
Mr. al-Hindi praised the humanitarian role played by the Red Crescent Society, which makes all possible efforts. He expressed the Company's contentment with the cooperation with the Society in all areas and at all levels. Mr. al-Hindi added that the elderly group has a right over all private and public sector institutions; and that everyone must provide the necessary aide to them through cooperation with the houses of the elderly and the institutions that care for them in performance and appreciation of their right to live.
 
On his part, Mr. Hilal Tuffaha, Chairman of the Administrative Board praised this benevolent humanitarian initiative, and commended the role of the National Beverage Company in supporting and assisting humanitarian and charitable institutions in this country. Mr. Tuffaha pointed out that the House of the Elderly, which is the oldest and the first center concerned with the affairs of the Elderly in Palestine. The House includes 19 inmates from different parts of the West Bank, where the workers in the House serve, care and secure a decent life for the Elderly, in addition providing health care, shelter, clothing and medicine for them.
